A Blessing in Disguise

My website recently got attacked by hackers, and at first, I was embarrassed and upset that they had hacked into my website and installed all these horrible viruses.

My website was so screwed up that I was faced with this scenario:  either I spend hours and hours trying to find all the malicious malware that had been installed onto my website, which would be like searching for a needle through a hay stack. Or  I start from scratch and create a new website.  So I did the unthinkable, I deleted all the contents of my previous site.

By doing that, I deleted all the work I had put so much effort into over the last 3 years.  I spent many long nights updating my blog with new photos, new blog posts, new photographs for my portfolio.    I spent countless hours getting it to look the way I wanted it to look.  Did I really just delete all my hard work?  Was it the right thing to do?  Over the past 2 years I was stuck with a website that I was content with, however, I wasn’t all enthusiastic about it.   It just wasn’t a site that showed off my photography work the way I hoped it did.

So over the course of the last 4 days, i’ve been at it again, as you can see by the time of this post. I’m spending more countless hours hoping to get something more ME.    The malware on my website was a blessing.  This time i’ve added security  features to prevent what happened before.  A back-up schedule is also in my foreseeable future.    I’ve found a new website layout that is going to do exactly what I initially wanted it to do.   It’s gong to show off my photography right from the get go!  The moment you log on, you see some of the amazing moment’s i’ve captured over the course of last several years.

I’m looking forward putting in some quality time into displaying my skill.   Although it’s not done yet,  I’m really excited about this.   Be sure to come back in a week or two and see the final product.  I promise you won’t be disappointed.
